Last day in Norway

My last day in Norway I spent in Oslo. I was going to meet Thiago (a guy from Hald) in Oslo city center next to the lion in front of Stortinget. For a start I'm don't know my way around in Oslo very well, and when I came down to Stortinget it turned out that the entire block around it was blocked down by the army and some police officers. This is no easy job and you can see how busy all the soldiers are!
I later found out this was the opening of Stortinget, the king and a lot of importent people was present. As the picture shows even Geir Helljesen was present, and that says something about the magnitude of this happening. At last I found Thiago and also Sany his teammate. We went down to NMS's office in Oslo where Tueng Tueng and Sak Li works. It was really cool to meet all this people again even though it had only been a couple of days. After a while Helene (another student from Hald) showed up as well. We left the office and traveled to Blindern, which is the university area of Oslo, it's also the area where Thiago and Sany lives. We ate some pizza and Sak Li played some songs and sang some Lao worship songs for us.

I was supposed to meet Jone later this day because he had a little surprise for me. I had no idea what it was, but I knew it would take approximately 30 minutes and it was somewhere downtown. We took the subway (t-banen) down to the main station (Oslo S) where we went out. Just before we came up to ground level again, Jone asked me to close my eyes and follow him. With a tiny bit of insecurity I took a hold of his backpack, closed my eyes and followed. I felt the light when we came out in the open air and after a while it all turned dark again, and we went inside some place. Jone asked me to hold my hands over my ears which I obediently did. Barely managing to hear, I made out one sound which I guessed might be an elevator, but still without having any idea where we were heading. The elevator started rising upwards and I was told to open my eyes. All of a sudden Oslo was folding out before my feet. I were standing in an elevator heading to the top of Oslo Plaza (the tallest building in Oslo).
In the cafe on the top we ordered one Cappuccino each which we enjoyed facing the amazing view of Oslo at our feet. Maybe this tells us something about our relationship with God. Sometime we have to dare to close our eyes and follow the path of Jesus. Even though it can seem embarrassing and hard sometimes we have to take the leap and trust in Him and he will reveal his glory and do amazing things. (Just for the record; I'm not saying that Jone is Jesus) When we came home Jone's wife Marte had prepared a delicious dish of roe (the small wild deer , rådyr).
The view from the balcony was amazing and suited perfectly for the last evening and the last supper. I was now going to leave Norway and move to Serbia!
